SimplySoMin Birthday Charity Event 2013!

Hey yah our dear Minnies! How are you all doing? 

I miss you guys! Been laying low in posting but I know my dongsaeng

 Jeanneth is taking good care of the blog so, I know you are all in a good hands!

By the way how's your Valentines? I hope you all have a great one!

Well, as February's end is fast approaching and most likely March will be at 

our doorstep before we know it! 

And of course for us, Minnies the month of March is a special month 

because it's the birthday month of our main girl MinMin! Yup! Yup!

 It's the birthday of our dearest MinMin! 

And as you Minnies know it, here in SimplySoMin we have a tradition when 

it comes to celebrating MinMin's birthday!

For the past 2 years we been celebrating MinMin's birthday through charitable work

 and this year the tradition will continue! We still go by our motto of the greatest gift that we could give to MinMin is the gift of giving to others! 

But this year we have decided to change it a bit, because decided 

to help our four legged friends! 

Yes, this year will be donating to a non-government, non-profit,volunteer based

 organization called the Philippines Animal Welfare Society or also known as PAWS!

 PAWS is an organization who helps to prevent animal cruelty. 

PAWS, also rescue and rehabilitate animals whose victims of animal cruelty 

and they also help to find the animals loving home! 

As of the moment, its mostly cats and dogs were the ones in the shelter of PAWS.

We all know that MinMin is such an animal lover, we all could see how 
she love her dog Modu, whom I feel she treat like her own baby :)

 We also want to embody that generous of  heart MinMin when it comes to animals. 

That's why we do encourage you to help us to help them! 

You can donate cash or in kind for PAWS!

If you wanted to donate in kind, 
they do have the list of things that they badly needed, kindly see below.

• Dog food (kibble and canned)

• Catfood (kibble and canned)

• Kennel cabs, carriers or cages

• Vaccines, medicine, surgical materials/equipment, pet vitamins which you think our shelter animals can use.

•  Scratching posts for the cats

• Chew toys for dogs

They also needed things to clean the houses for the dogs and cats.

• dishwashing paste or liquid (kitty & doggie bowls need constant cleaning too!)

• detergent powder and bleach

• clean old towels or rags, or foot rugs, or anything we can use to line their plastic pans that the kitties use as "cat beds" (they all huddle & crowd in these "cat beds" at night )

• walis tingting/brooms 

• alcohol, cotton and toilet paper for our clinic and sickbay areas

• old newspaper to line the cages in our feline quarantine and sickbay areas
  
  
• garbage bags (size XXL)

When you see the list of the things PAWS needed to be able help more animals,
 it look so simple yet by that simple thing a wonderful can happen! 

We decided to do the donation turn over on March 16, it's the exact birthday of MinMin!

So, if you're here in Manila we do encourage you all to join us! 

Will spend the day with our dear four legged friends and wonderful volunteers of PAWS!

And also, PAWS accepts volunteers! If you can't donate cash or kind but you have 

the gift of time,we do encourage to volunteer! It's a great way to spend time! ^_^

Jung So Min's (정소민) Drama Can We Get Married Will Air A Special

Yup, you have read it right, as shared by goodange from the ever updated couchkimchi 

MinMin's drama, Can We Get Married will air a special on January 7, 2013!

So watch out for it guys!

This special will show about the future lives of our wonderful characters

 and possible interviews with the cast and highlights of the drama!

Happy to know that they will be airing a special!

Jung So Min's (정소민) - Talks About Can We Get Married, Marriage and Hopes of Finding A Relationship for the New year [Joynews Interview]

Done watching the final episode of Can We Get Married
but of course you won't get any spoilers from me
because I want you all to personally watch ^_^

And as we enter a new year, with MinMin ending 2012 with a wonderful drama
I think it's safe to say that 2013 will be a much brighter year for her!
So excited what will be in store for MinMin this 2013!

정소민은 새해를 '정소민의 해'로 만들기 위한 초석 다지기에 분주하다. 1989년생 뱀띠, 올해로 스물 다섯살이 되는 정소민은 물오른 연기력으로 새해 스타 탄생을 예고하며 '뱀의 해' 2013년을 자신의 해로 만들 준비가 됐다.

인터뷰실로 들어온 정소민은 촬영 때문에 잠을 한숨도 못 자고 왔다는 말과 달리 단정한 이목구비와 특유의 눈웃음으로 눈길을 끌었다. 연이은 밤샘 촬영으로 연신 에너지 드링크를 들이키는 정소민은 지친 기색 하나 없이 드라마 이야기에 눈을 반짝반짝 빛냈다.

정소민은 전작 '장난스런 키스'의 오하니, '나쁜 남자'의 홍모네 등으로 귀엽고 사랑스러운 어린 소녀의 이미지를 주로 선보여 왔다. 그러나 JTBC '우리가 결혼할 수 있을까(이하 우결수)'에서는 완전히 달라졌다. 연기자로서도 한 발짝 성장했다는 평가다. '우결수' 속 정소민은 결혼을 앞두고 고민과 갈등을 거듭하는 리얼한 연기로 여성 시청자들의 공감을 자아내며 물오른 연기력을 선보였다. 옷, 헤어스타일 등 패션 역시 연일 화제다. 정소민의 패션은 포털사이트에서 연관 검색어로 등장할 정도로 화제가 되고 있는 것.

'우결수'는 사실 정소민과는 인연이 없을 뻔한 작품이었다.

"저는 솔직히 6개월 동안 시트콤을 한 터라 정말 쉬고 싶었거든요. 도저히 못 하겠다 싶었었는데 감독님이 굉장히 설득을 많이 하셨어요. 재밌는 현장, 즐겁게 좋은 연기를 할 수 있는 현장을 만들겠다고 말씀하셨죠. 이제 와서 생각해 보면 감독님한테 설득당하길 잘했어요(웃음)."

'우결수'는 각기 다른 네 커플의 결혼 준비 이야기를 통해 이 시대의 결혼을 다시 돌아보는 드라마로 실제 커플을 연애를 들여다 보는 듯한 리얼한 전개와 캐릭터 구성으로 많은 시청자들의 사랑을 받았다. 특히 결혼을 앞두고 있거나 결혼을 실제로 준비하고 있는 2030 여성 시청자들의 지지가 눈에 띈다.

"출연진이 정말 탄탄하고 감독님도 정말 좋으세요. 인간적으로 연기를 편안하게 할 수 있게 도와주시죠. 물론 피곤하지만 촬영장이 정말 화기애애해요. 분위기가 진짜 좋거든요. 제가 출연하고 있어서가 아니라 객관적으로 봤을 때도 진짜 그래요(웃음)."

아직 스물다섯, 결혼을 생각하기에는 아직 이른 나이인 정소민이 결혼 적령기의 교사 혜윤 역을 연기하기엔 어려움이 따르기도 한다. 이런 어려움을 정소민은 간접 경험을 통해 자신의 것으로 터득하고 있다.

"연기하면서 모르는 걸 많이 배우는 것 같아요. '나중에 결혼할 때 골치 아프면 어떡하지?' 걱정도 되죠. 사촌언니가 지금 딱 이 상황이라 간접적으로 경험 많이 하고 있어요. 시어머니랑 엄마랑 갈등이 있을 때 중간에서 어떻게 해야 할지 모르는 상황을 찍을 땐 연기인데도 정말 난감하더라고요. 그래도 엄마 역할 하시는 이미숙 선생님이 정말 잘 챙겨주세요. 방송 보고 문자도 많이 주세요. 성준이랑 헤어진 장면 보고는 우셨다면서 잘 봤다고 칭찬도 해 주셨어요."

남자친구 정훈 역의 성준은 정소민과 한 살이 차이나는 연하남. 정소민은 "동생인데도 잘 챙겨준다"며 "갈수록 호흡이 잘 맞는 것 같다"고 찰떡호흡을 자랑했다. 만나자마자 로맨스 연기를 펼쳐야 했던 정소민은 성준과의 어색한 첫 만남을 기억하며 웃음을 터뜨렸다.

"처음 만났을 때 학교 앞에서 싸우는 장면을 찍었어요. 정말 만나자마자요(웃음). 차 안이었는데 그 때만 해도 너무 어색했어요. 차 안에 둘이 있는데 그렇게 어색할 수가 없더라고요(웃음). 정말이지 너무 어색해서 한 마디씩 인사만 나누고 어색한 침묵만 계속 됐죠. 너무 불편하고 어색해서 도저히 안 되겠다고 생각했어요. 세 번 정도 촬영할 때까지 계속 그랬으니까요. 제가 먼저 성준이에게 '우리 억지로라도 말을 놓자'고 했더니 '네… 어' 하더라고요(웃음). 그 뒤로는 어렵게 말을 놓게 됐고, 이후로는 정말 친해졌어요."

두 사람은 실제 연인들의 생활을 보는 듯한 생활밀착형 로맨스 연기로 드라마의 인기를 이끌었다. 정소민의 가까운 지인들 역시 드라마에 크게 공감하며 다양한 시청소감으로 정소민의 연기에 힘을 실어줬다.

"사실 제 연애관이랑은 일치를 안 해서 '다들 진짜 이렇게 연애를 할까?' 했죠. 그런데 친구가 '네가 하는 연기가 내 여자 친구를 보는 것 같아서 참을 수가 없다'고 하더라고요(웃음). 드라마 속에서 혜윤이랑 정훈이가 너무 싸우는 것 같아요. 알콩달콩 연애하고 싶은데 결혼을 준비하면서 너무 많이 싸워서 자꾸 속상해요."

드라마를 찍으면서 연애관도 많이 변한 것 같다는 정소민은 새해에는 연애를 하고 싶다고 밝게 웃었다. 정소민은 "연애를 하면 오래 만나는 것 같다. 첫 눈에 반한 적은 없지만 첫 눈에 반할 수도 있을 것 같다"며 "둘이 잘 맞아야 할 것 같지만 대체로는 상대에 최대한 맞추려고 하는 스타일"이라고 본인의 연애관을 살짝 공개했다.

"요즘 드라마 찍으면서 연애관이 좀 바뀐 것 같아요. 좋은 부모님 밑에서 바르게 자란 사람을 만나고 싶어요. 예전에는 제가 좋아하는 사람만 보면 된다고 생각했는데 바른 가정교육을 받은 바른 사람을 만나고 싶다는 생각이 자꾸 들어요. 또 제 일을 잘 이해해 주는 사람이면 좋을 것 같아요. 연애 생각이 있었는데 '우결수' 덕분에 좀 충족이 됐어요. 대리만족 했다니까요(웃음). 끝나면 되게 허할 것 같아요."

뱀띠인 정소민은 2013년 새해, 자신의 해를 맞았다. 뱀의 해를 맞아 더욱 활발하게 활동하겠다는 정소민은 조금씩 발전하겠다는 다부진 각오를 밝혔다.

"오래 쉬지 않고 다음 작품으로 많은 분들을 만나고 싶어요. 여건이 된다면 영화를 꼭 찍고 싶어요. 매력 있는 역할이면 어떤 장르든 좋아요. 새해를 맞아 세우신 목표 연말까지 꼭 지켜나가는 한 해 되길 바랄게요. 저 정소민도 조금씩 발전하는 모습 보여드릴게요. 새로운 작품도 꼭 기대해 주세요!"

Happy 2nd Anniversary SimplySoMin! ^_^

2nd Anniversary? Just simply Wow!

As you all know how we started this blog, it still amaze me how

 the blog has been able to past thru its second year.

I can still recall the first year of SimplySoMin, on how we have tried to keep the blog going even though MinMin have been relatively quiet during those times.

 I tried re-reading the old posts, it makes me laugh seeing or rather reading 

how we tried to stay  "visible" as possible by posting anything and everything

 that we can think of as long as it's MinMin related.

And now as the 2nd year has come, it's a wonderful feeling that we are still able to share anything about MinMin especially now that MinMin has dramas and projects. 

Many things had happen in the 2nd year as parallel to MinMin 

as she bloomed wonderfully not only physically but career wise as well. 

The support of the Minnies leaves me in awe as you guys continue to support not only MinMin but SimplySoMin as well. 

As we enter our 3rd year,  aside for my wish for more years to come for the blog, 

my other wish would be, you Minnies to continue to support MinMin. 

Just continue to love her whether she's short haired, or long haired, 

in a sitcom or in drama, having a miss or hit in the red carpet,

making us laugh or making cry like a river,

 might be bit chubby or just in the right weight, 

or having a new screen partner or none. 

I do hope you continue to love and support her. 

MinMin is such a young talented actress but she needs all the support and 

opportunities for her to reach her fullest potential of being the best actress that she can be. Just continue to love her as she also matures right in our very eye.

Being ever graceful in her every turn.

 And just continue to pray for her success, peace of mind, happiness 

and of course love that she truly deserves.

Well, as you all know, our dear MinMin is currently busy with the filming of
 her current drama  Can We Get Married?

Of course as her Minnies, we wanted to show and express our support to her, one of the means the we are thinking to do this is by doing a 
Food Support Project.

Fortunately, our friends from JSM Raffine is lending their helping hand
in making this happen. 

As to those who don't know, JUNG SO MIN Raffine is the 
Korean Fan Club of Jung So Min.
