ReplyDeleteI would love PK season 2, but it won't ever happen. Second seasons in Korea are extremely care, and only dramas who were successful (not internationally, but in the homeland) get second seasons, and even then it's rare. Boys Over Flowers had no 2nd season, and it was a tremendous hit.
miss minmin a lot, i hope she comes back soon :(
I really wish they have a 2nd season. Since it's following Itazura Na Kiss, the storyline hasn't ended yet. ISWAK 1&2 had 30+20 episodes in all. The YouTube edition of PK is simply not enough! This PK addict need more!! XD
DeleteGroup8 milked PK overseas because it was very popular internationally, but in Korea it's pretty much forgotten. Whenever HJ comes in a show, they always refer to BOF and never PK, Baek Seung Jo is never mentioned, and Yoon Ji Hoo is never forgotten. I doubt they'll have a second season.
ReplyDeleteThey should just make another season for the mini episodes, but if they ever do that it won't be soon. It'll take time or never happen. I know, disappointing, but true.
I think we go on PK withdrawal because MM has been gone for too long!
The on-screen chemistry between JSM and KHJ is what I miss most. I've watched loads of K drama, theirs is what sticks in mind! BOF had great parties, cars, scenic locations etc but PK is simply presented yet catches the heart. I feel more connected to PK than BOF. Hope G8 will consider/ start a project on PK Season 2 that caters to the international market! :D

ReplyDeletestrange as this may sound but the day this PK poster was posted on JSM's manager's twitter account was also the day KHJ's KissKiss MV (Japanese version) debuted and gone #1 in the Japanese Music charts..Also, the actress that acted opposite KHJ in the video has quite a bit of similarities to JSM..she reminds me so much of JSM-the way she acts and the way she dresses up-way too similar...That really is too much of a coincidence......hhmmmm....:D

ReplyDeleteI agree w/you Anon 2:11... in the MV, they portrayed Hani's mannerism (pouting, happy and playful gestures) and yes the actress's features has similiarities to JSM (hair, height, skin complexion). There's a fanart posted in soompi w/the kiss-kiss mv and a photo of KHJ/JSM from Minmin's selca... you guys should go check it out -- great comparison. It would be great if someone would make a fanart of the actress pout and JSM's pout in PK -- that would be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteif,indeed,it was the production team's idea of portraying the feel of PK or the portraying the aura of Oh HaNi in KHJ's KissKiss MV then why did they bother hiring another actress to portray Oh HaNi when they could just have easily hired JSM to do that. they would have gotten the real deal and JSM would have been good in that video AND all of us here would have been hyperventilating and had passed out from spazzing....hahahaha.

Can you imagine the protest and cry of them? :) But it shouldn't be surprised that it was conceptualized from it as HJ recorded the song originally (korean version) while filming PK so, I'm sure he got the inspiration from it.

Deletei think all of you know this already but i still want 2 write it.. truly, simply, madly... all i got were the PK feelings in the MV.. from their attire, driving, playfulness w the snow,BSJ cook on behalf of HN (the most i remember: the cucumber or whatsoever it called), staring at the sky at night (forgot what ep,the day HN return to BSJ house), the way he made the surprise n + KHJ love fishing.. i think mb khj want 2 spend sometime w somin to go fishing.. hahaha... i need 2 stop now..
