The caption of the picture is "2012 New Year's Dream" - I'm done (could mean 'accomplished')! Maybe she means that being at the beach on new year's day is one of her dreams in 2012. She has said in her interviews that she loves the sea.

No, they aren't the same breed of dogs. Leader has two Border Collies, one is Matic (black and white one) and the other one is Art (white with some spotted black). MM has a pure black Labrador.
