(Article) Five Fun Facts About Jung So Min 정소민
Happy know that Minmin is gaining attention on her excellent portrayal of Kang Jin Ah at her drama, Big Man. She deserves the recognition because she has the talent. Way to go, Minmin!

With her flame red hair and matching lipstick, Jung So Min is not just a colorful character in the drama "Big Man." Her character is turning out to be one of the more principled members of her "Big Man" k-drama family. Neither her onscreen parents nor her fictional brother seem to have any compunction about killing to further their cause. But although she is a spoiled chaebol, she does have a conscience.
Besides sharing screen time with her attractive "Big Man" co-stars Daniel Choi and Kang Ji Hwan, the 25-year-old has also been cast in the film "Twenty" with Kim Woo Bin, Kang Ha Neul and 2PM's Junho.
Here are a few more facts you may not know about this young but promising actress:
1. She's actually a chaebol in real life although her real parents are fortunately not evil like her "Big Man" character's parents. Her father is said to be one of the richest men in Korea.
2. Her parents did not want her to study acting. With her excellent grades they preferred that she major in science or economics. When she got a scholarship based on her acting talent, they had a change of heart.
3. When she was chosen to play Oh Han Ni, Kim Hyun Joong's devoted girlfriend, in "Playful Kiss" she was very surprised.
"I know there were so many candidates," she said.
But by the time the drama ended she really identified with her character. She felt so close to her character that when the filming ended, she could not get used to people calling her Jung So Min.
"To me, Ha Ni is a very special character," she said in an interview with Innolife. "Even Kim Hyun Joong said that he got used to calling me Oh Ha Ni. So when he called me Jung So Min it felt a little strange."
4. She thought it would be awkward to film intimate scenes with Sung Joon for her role in the drama "Can We Marry" but it was even harder watching the scenes with her parents.
"Before all those scenes I did feel a little awkward but as we set up to actually shoot them it was fine," she said in a Newsen interview. "However, when watching the broadcast at home with my parents I did feel embarrassed. As it went on they grew increasingly silent."
5. She has had plenty good experiences working with other actors. She singled out Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Nam Gil, Sung Joon and Oh Yeon Soo as being particularly kind mentors in helping her become a better actress and a better person.

Which lucky actress gets to be Kim Woo Bin's girl in the film "Twenty?" It looks as if the role will go to Jung So Min, currently also starring as the spoiled young heiress in "Big Man." In that drama she loves Kang Ji Hwan.
"Twenty" will be her film debut but it's not her first opportunity to have an onscreen romance with an attractive k-drama actor. So far she has been romanced by the likes of Kim Hyun Joong and Sung Joon.
"Twenty" tells the story of three friends who are at the magical age when anything can happen. Jung So Min's character is dating one of the friends but they have all grown up together and all three young men like her.
Those friends are played by Kim Woo Bin, last seen in "The Heirs" and "School 2013," Kang Ha Neul of "the Heirs" and "Angel Eyes" and Junho, who won praise for his performance in the film "Cold Eyes."
Kim Woo Bin's character Chi Ho is a bit of a player in this story. Jung So Min plays his girlfriend but the fact that he adores girls can be expected to pose a problem. Junho plays a young man who wants to be a manga artist and Kang Ha Neul is the friend who grew up with everything he needs.
Jung So Min's character is described as pretty, smart and easy to get along with, which are qualities that can also be used to describe Jung So Min. The smart, easy-going actress has always worked well with her co-stars. She cites Lee Mi Sook, Han Groo, Kim Nam Gil, Kim Hyun Joong and Sung Joon as some of her favorite co-stars.
She once told Newsen that she got along well with her "Bad Guy" co-star Kim Nam Gil because he was so protective of her. "He was thoughtful in looking after me even in parts he wasn't in," she said. "It was my debut drama, and he taught me and led me along. After he got out of the army, he called regularly.
When she first began acting with Kim Hyun Joong, her co-star in "Playful Kiss," things were a little awkward but the two eventually developed a system of communications that pleased her.
"Gradually we are able to figure out signals that revealed a little more of what was in our hearts," she told Vogue in a magazine interview. "When we communicated through these signals, it was really very wonderful. Because we are both able to sense each other during those moments and at the same time I was also very grateful for those moments."
Another one of her favorite co-stars was Sung Joon, who she appeared with in the comedy "Can We Get Married?" "We work extremely well together," she said. "We can even ad-lib and the other person will just go with it."

Happy 2nd Anniversary Playful Kiss! ^_^
As I look at the date it gets me excited as the so called "ber" months are here not only because its nearing christmas but it marks the month of September!
What so special about September you ask?
Well, because its the month Playful Kiss was aired 2 years ago!
Yup! Its been 2 years since Playful Kiss grace the small screen in Korea!
But for me, it feels like just yesterday when I fell inlove with Playful Kiss,
Kim Hyun Joong and of course Jung So Min!
I vividly remember how I laugh with Oh Hani's antics
how I got irritated with Baek Seung Jo's indifference with Oh Hani
how I adore Mama Baek's romantic plans for Han and Seung Jo
how I like Eun Jo's insight even though he's a kid
how I admire Bong Joon Gu's love for Oh Hani
how I approved Hera's straight forward attitude
how the Hani and Appa bonding tug my heart
how I cheer with Hani with her friends
how I love that in the end Seung Jo can't live with Hani by his side
Actually I could just go on and on and on about the things that I love Playful Kiss
because we have so many of them!
But I think you all knew that because same as I am, you also fell inlove with them!
When ever I feel sad or lonely just few scenes from PK and I just could not help but smile
Playful Kiss gives me reasons to smile, gives me views on having hope, believing in faith, it also showed that hard work do paid off and that love has its time and reason.
I have mentioned this I think hundred times already
but I'm gonna say it again, Playful Kiss is my ultimate drama love
Playful Kiss has been a wonderful part not only of my k-drama life
but also my real life, as it it helps me to gain new friends, met new wonderful people
and experienced life changing events!
I considered Playful Kiss as a blessing in disguise as it leads
me to love Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min more!
I promise to myself to continue to support and love them until the end!
And Playful Kiss will always have a special spot in my heart
and I do hope for you guys its also the same!

Answer:
정소민 : 그 날은 굉장히 기억에 남는 날이에요. 제가 급체를 해서 하루 종일 몸 상태가 최악이었는데, 살수차가 와서 비까지 뿌리고. 정말 힘들었죠. 그런데 김현중 선배님이 잘 리드해 주신 덕분에 한 번에 오케이 받았어요. 키스신이 처음은 아니었는데, 그렇게 진한 키스신은... 처음이었습니다.
(Ofcourse, it was a memorable day for me. My health Condition was the worst because of my stomach problem. and the sprinkler kept pouring water to make rain. It was really hard at that time, but we filmed that scene without NG because Hyunjoong led me very well. it was not the first kissing scene for me but it was the first deep-kiss scene for me.)
